As a recent college grad who spent years going to chains for affordable haircuts, I decided to take the plunge and find a stylist at a more professional salon. I settled on Medusa for its close proximity to my home and did a walk-in just to feel the place out. The salon was packed--a good sign--but even though I was a walk-in they got me in within 15-20 minutes. Ashlee was incredibly friendly and easy going. I showed her a picture of a short haircut I liked but was nervous about and she talked me through what I liked about it and pulled my hair back to discuss what I was comfortable with. She took her time with the cut and continued to go back to areas to get things just right. She also regularly referred to the picture to get the style I wanted. One of my favorite things was that she went on the long side when making the cut since it was a big change in length. Then she asked if I liked it or wanted to go a little shorter. A lot of people that have cut my hair have cut it shorter than I wanted, so I loved that she did this. I definitely plan to make an appointment with her in the future!
I've been going to Stacie for the last 7 years or so. She was recommended to me by a friend. I have a hard time going to anyone else if I am in a pinch and need to get in for a quick trim---I usually will wait until Stacie has an opening, just because I know no matter what my hair will be fantastic. She always is honest, creative (in that I can sit without knowing what I want done and she will always make a great choice and cut/color what will look great on me), well educated (Carter does a great job encouraging training throughout the salon), polite...she is super sweet. She has a great eye for hair. Never been to anyone better ever.
