Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and romance is on every woman's mind!
Women everywhere will put on their hottest dresses and get their hair styled to perfection to head out for a romantic evening with their man. What I am more concerned about is where this romantic night ends up and how will your makeup look before, during, and after. Are you catching what I am throwing ladies? It's time to talk about sexy bedroom makeup and how to keep it on all night.
Getting the look
They say the windows are the eyes to the soul, but I view them as road maps to the bedroom... especially on February 14th! Nothing is more intriguing than a soft yet sexy smokey eye. The Urban Decay Naked Pallets (both 1 and 2) are great for creating this look. Both pallets will give your eyes a mysterious hazy look that will keep your guy entranced.
Now on to the cheeks. You need a soft flush. One of the sexiest colors out there is Orgasm by NARS. The name says it all - it’s just the right amount of pink to make people wonder what you may or may not have been doing.
Finally, apply a soft nude lip. I recommend Pretty Plush by MAC. This is a pluming lip gloss that will give you a full pouty look that is ultra-seductive.
Keeping the Look
Now that you have the key products to create a super sexy look, lets talk about keeping it on all night. Your sultry look needs to stay put. Trust me: in the heat of the moment, the last thing you want to look like is a sweaty version of the Joker. That's not hot even if your man is into comics! Here are some tips to keeping your look in place.
Lip stains - Lip stains can easily be put under lip gloss to give added color. They also won’t feather or leave a lipstick stain on sheets. My favorite is Laura Mericer Shy Pink Lip Stain.
Fixer or Sealant Spray - Noting is as mortifying as going in for a romantic embrace and seeing your foundation face print clearly stamped on your man’s shirt. That's not the way you want to be remembered! I always recommend a setting spray. My personal favorite is Urban Decay’s All-Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray.
Waterproof / Smudge Resistant Liner and Mascara- Looking hot is one thing, but looking a hot mess is another. No one no matter how sexy someone is, no one can pull off raccoon eyes. Keep that liner and mascara in check by using waterproof and smudge resistant versions . My two personal favorites are MAC Fluid in Blacktrack and Diorshow Black Out Waterproof Mascara.
