This is the season for holiday parties and dinners. It's the most opportune time to showcase both your style and originality at the office or with family and friends. As a Naturalista myself, I'm always searching for the most fun and daring natural hairstyles, especially for big events and holiday outings. If you've got a big party to attend, try adding a little oomph to your natural 'do by dressing it up with some of these hot holiday styles!
Lovely Locks: I've always wished I had the courage to twist my hair into locks; so bold and cute. A braided, off-to-the-side look is the perfect mixture of simple and pretty, and definitely a great style for family holiday dinners. For work parties, try this high bun or even Bantu knot your locks to create these beautiful curls.
Updos: An updo is always a fun and festive hairstyle for any hair type, especially a Naturalista. For all of us fashionably late ladies, this style is a life saver when you're pressed for time. A few bobby pins can make magic happen! If you want to go the extra mile, you can always add in the pompadour. How cute is this, right?
Go Afro-centric!: Never old and never boring, this is the ultimate Naturalista style. You can't really go wrong with an afro. Ever. Believe me, I've gotten my 'fro into many mishaps, from being tangled onto other people's garments, to brushing many faces with it, and yet people continue to have this major fascination with it. The fro'hawk is definitely the most fun - it's wild and sassy. The original afro adds the right amount of depth and attitude and the fro'nytail is cute and works wonders by accentuating your facial features.
