'Tis the season to reinvent yourself! With the holidays right around the corner, it's nice to have some go-to styles for those family functions, dreadful in-law encounters, and the "Meet The Parents" nightmares. I don't know about you, but I like to be prepared.
One of my new favorites is a natural hairstyle referred to as the two-strand twist out. I recently tried this style for the first time and fell in love with it. Let me show you how it's done.
What you'll need:
- Hair moisturizer
- Silk hair scarf
- Hair ties
For the best outcome, this look works well with clean, deep-conditioned hair. I suggest doing this style at night, right before bed, so you can allow your hair ample time to dry naturally.
Part your the hair into four sections. You can section down the middle or off to the side, depending on where you generally part your hair.
Starting with the back of the hair, grab a small fraction and apply hair oil and moisturizer of choice. (I love coconut oil for this because it adds a nice sheen and your hair smells amazing!) Separate hair into two smaller pieces and twist.
When you're finished with the back section, make your way to the front and repeat. Here is where you'll have the option to choose where you'd like your part. I prefer a side part.
After the twists are complete, secure them with a silk scarf, and sleep your beauty away!
And voila! Here I am rocking the finished product. Unwrap your scarf and one by one, set your twists free. This is the best part! You can go for the neat look, you can frizz it out a bit or pin it up.
Super cute, right? Relish in your fabulosity and when people stop and admire, you can take all the credit! Send us your favorite go-to styles and join the hair conversation on twitter @shopJadaBeauty!
