Is it just us or is this time of the year crazy busy? Between spring breaks, graduations, and the start of wedding season, the calendar is filling up quickly. Adding tons of festivities to your already hectic schedule can leave you feeling frazzled. Here are our favorite easy styles to keep your hair looking chic and polished when your calendar is packed.
Stacked pony -- Doubling up on your ponytail is an easy way to get volume. This look really is as easy at it sounds! Separate your hair into two equal sections, top and bottom. Make one ponytail out of the top half of your hair and then make a second ponytail right underneath with the bottom half. The ever-glam Lauren Conrad shows us how it’s how this effortless style is done. Add a blazer and some statement earrings for a great date look.
Front hair poof -- Don’t let Snooki give the poof a bad rap! Hilary Duff is a class act with this understated style. Start by separating a section of hair from temple to temple. Lightly spritz a volumizer (try Aveda’s Volumizing Tonic) before gently teasing with a fine-toothed comb. Finally, secure with two-four bobby pins. Try this easy style when you’re looking for a way to keep your hair out of your face without putting it all up.
Low side-pony -- This go-to style is one that works for every occasion. I like to start by adding a few big curls to my ends before gathering my hair into a loose side pony. From there, do a little teasing and gently pull out a few face-framing pieces. This is the perfect ‘do to wear under your straw fedora in the summertime!
Laid-back waves -- Indie darling Alexa Chung’s easy waves are a breeze to achieve. Start by adding a sea salt-based spray to damp hair. We love Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray and let your hair dry naturally. In a rush? Blowdry with a diffuser. Finish of with a light hairspray like Aquage Finishing Spray (bonus? It’s humidity resistant!).
What are your go-to looks when you’re in a rush? We are always looking for new easy hairstyles!
For the love of hair,
Melanie
