After browsing through Pinterest, inspiration hit me to feature some of what I believe to be the most iconic, timeless hairstyles of all time. I do not know about all of you but when I watch movies like the Notebook or Pearl Harbor I cannot help but think that I was born in the wrong decade, in respect to the hair and clothes. The hairstyles that Rachel McAdams and Kate Beckinsale wore so beautifully are iconic hairstyles that will forever go down in history. The great hair wonders of the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s are represented in movies, photos, and covers of major fashion magazines of years past. These classic hairstyles bloomed from Hollywood starlets like Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Grace Kelly. Their hairstyles were timeless and still make bright appearances in Hollywood today. Scarlett Johansson’s hairstyles are often inspired by these elegant styles creating nothing short of a jaw dropping impact on the red carpet.
Although I truly love the Hollywood glamour looks, they are not necessarily suitable for everyday life. I would, no doubt fashion those styles if I had a red carpet event to appear at but instead, like most, I lead an average Midwestern’s life. This got me thinking about whose hair will women from the future look back on and consider iconic? It surely has to be the breathtaking Jennifer Aniston hairstyles that have been featured across every magazine cover for the past ten plus years. She is a fan favorite for classic tastes, humble personality, and “that” hair. The color is always perfect, it is the shiniest hair I have ever seen, and every cut and style frames her features beautifully.
